Fine mesh baskets suitable for marginal pond plants. Approximate size: 11cm x 11cm x 11cm

Betta Pond Plant Baskets are made from black plastic with meshed sides. These mesh sides allow water into the roots of the plant enabling them to obtain the nutrients that they need. It is best to line out the basket with hessian (YD050 Pond Plant Basket Hessian Squares) to prevent finer soil from falling through. After planting, top-dress with gravel to discourage fish from disturbing the plant roots.

This basket can also be used as a nursery for eggs and fry in the pond and other settings to prevent adult fish from being able to access the eggs and fry and eat them. It can also be used as a cover for filter inlets in ponds that have juvenile fish that may be sucked into the filtration system.
