Hozelock Bioforce Revolution 9000 Pond Filter Kit

The Hozelock Bioforce Revolution 9000 Pond Filter Kit combines the Bioforce Revolution pressurised filter with an Aquaforce 6000 solids-handling pond pump, giving you the main equipment needed to create a complete pond filtration system. Shirley Aquatics already pairs the 9000 filter with the Aquaforce 6000 in its Bioforce kit range.

The Bioforce Revolution provides mechanical and biological filtration alongside a powerful 24W UVC, while the Aquaforce pump moves dirty pond water through the system. It is an excellent option for anyone installing a new pond or replacing an older pump and filter at the same time.

Hozelock Bioforce Revolution 9000 Kit

At the heart of the system is the Bioforce Revolution 9000, a pressurised filter designed to make routine maintenance considerably less messy.

Its three-stage filtration system combines a UVC, CypriCube mechanical filter media and Kaldnes K3 biological media. The CypriCube media captures suspended waste while providing a large filtration area, while the K3 media provides a home for the beneficial bacteria responsible for processing dissolved fish waste.

Powerful 24W UVC

The built-in 24 watt ultraviolet clarifier helps tackle the free-floating algae responsible for green pond water.

Water passing through the filter is exposed to UV-C light before continuing through the filtration system. This causes microscopic algae to clump together, allowing it to be removed more effectively by the mechanical filter media.

Easy-Clean Bioforce Filter

Cleaning is where the Bioforce Revolution really earns its keep.

Rather than regularly pulling filthy foam out of the filter, the internal cleaning mechanism allows the CypriCube media to be cleaned using the handle on top of the unit. Internal blades release accumulated debris from the media, which can then be flushed out through the waste outlet.

As the media is cleaned using pond water, this also helps preserve more of the beneficial bacteria living within the filter.

Includes Aquaforce 6000 Pond Pump

The kit pairs the Bioforce Revolution 9000 with the Hozelock Aquaforce 6000, a solids-handling pump designed specifically for pond filtration systems, waterfalls and watercourses. This is the pump Hozelock pairs with the 9000-size Bioforce in the complete kit.

The Aquaforce’s large outer cage allows pond water and suspended debris to reach the pump while helping protect fish from the impeller.

Pressurised Filtration for Flexible Installation

Because the Bioforce Revolution is pressurised, the cleaned water doesn’t have to return directly beside the filter. It can be pumped onwards to a waterfall or watercourse, giving you much more freedom when designing the pond.

The filter can also be partially buried up to the level of its hose connections. This makes a relatively large filtration system much easier to disguise amongst planting or landscaping.

Pond Capacity

The Bioforce Revolution 9000 filter itself is rated for ponds up to 18,000 litres without fish or 9,000 litres with fish.

These figures should always be treated as maximum capacities. Heavy fish stocking, high feeding levels, shallow water and ponds exposed to strong sunlight all increase the demands placed on a filtration system. Hozelock itself advises taking these environmental factors into account when sizing a Bioforce system.
