The Hozelock Bioforce Revolution 14000 Pond Filter is a powerful pressurised filtration system designed for larger garden ponds. Combining mechanical and biological filtration with an integrated 36W UVC, it helps remove suspended waste, process fish waste and tackle the algae responsible for green pond water.

Its biggest advantage is maintenance. Rather than regularly removing and squeezing dirty filter foams by hand, the Bioforce Revolution uses an internal cleaning mechanism that allows much of the accumulated waste to be flushed from the filter.

Hozelock Bioforce Revolution 14000

The Bioforce Revolution uses a three-stage filtration system to keep pond water clear and healthy.

The built-in 36W UV clarifier treats water as it enters the filter, helping to control free-floating algae. Mechanical filtration is provided by Hozelock’s CypriCube foam media, designed with a large surface area to capture suspended dirt without restricting water flow as quickly as conventional foam.

Finally, Kaldnes K3 biological media provides a large surface area for beneficial bacteria. These bacteria play an essential role in breaking down fish waste and maintaining good water quality in an established pond.

Easy-Clean Pond Filter

Cleaning a large pond filter can be a spectacularly unpleasant job, which is where the Bioforce Revolution earns its keep.

Turning the handle on top of the filter activates internal cleaning blades. These move through the CypriCube media and dislodge accumulated dirt without requiring the media to be removed.

The valve can then be switched to direct the dirty water out through the waste outlet rather than back into the pond. Because the media is cleaned using pond water, this process also helps preserve the beneficial bacteria living within the filter.

Powerful 36W UVC

The integrated 36 watt UVC helps tackle green water without requiring a separate UV clarifier.

UV-C light causes microscopic suspended algae to clump together, allowing it to be captured more effectively by the mechanical filtration. For best results, the UV lamp should be replaced periodically as its useful UV output declines with age.

Pressurised Filtration

Because the Bioforce Revolution 14000 is a pressurised filter, the outlet water can continue onwards to a higher return point. This makes it particularly useful if you want the filtration system to supply a waterfall or watercourse.

The filter can also be partially buried up to the level of its hose connections. This allows most of the canister to be concealed beside the pond while leaving the controls accessible for maintenance.

Choosing the Right Filter Size

The Bioforce Revolution 14000 is the largest model in this Bioforce Revolution range. Pond capacity should always be considered alongside fish stocking, feeding levels, sunlight and other factors that increase the biological load.

For heavily stocked ponds or Koi ponds in particular, we recommend allowing plenty of spare filtration capacity rather than selecting a filter solely from its maximum headline pond volume.
