HabiStat Moon Switch
The moon switch is a piece of equipment that will control your heating and lighting units by using the inbuilt light sensors. The moon switch will turn mains power to your equipment on and off. A wide range of equipment can be plugged into this sensor, which is only limited by its 600W maximum capacity. It can be used to not only control lighting within the enclosure based on either the natural cycle of daylight or the artificial lighting within the room, but also to turn on and off heating equipment that is only necessary at night. The unit is designed to not flicker at the trigger point or activate if there are sudden changes in brightness. It helps with keeping your animals in tandem with natural day cycles and even seasonal variances in the length of days and nights.
This product is ideally suited for nocturnal animals in particular as it will allow the lights to change from daytime bulbs to night time lighting, when the animal is most likely to be active and feeding.
