Description

biOrb LOOP 15 MCR Aquarium

The biOrb LOOP 15 MCR Aquarium combines biOrb’s distinctive design with integrated filtration and remote-controlled multi-colour lighting. With a compact 15-litre capacity and unusual elliptical shape, it’s designed to provide an attractive aquarium display without taking up a large amount of space.

Made from clear, lightweight acrylic, the curved aquarium provides an almost uninterrupted view from different angles. Everything required for the basic aquarium setup is included, with the filtration system largely concealed beneath the ceramic media to maintain the clean appearance of the display.

biOrb LOOP 15 MCR Aquarium

The LOOP’s unusual curved shape is what sets it apart from a conventional rectangular aquarium. The transparent acrylic body provides excellent all-round visibility, while the black or white trim gives the aquarium a contemporary finish.

At 15 litres, this is a genuinely small aquarium, making thoughtful livestock selection important. It is particularly attractive when used for a carefully designed miniature aquatic display rather than overcrowding it with fish.

MCR Multi-Colour Lighting

The integrated MCR LED lighting system can be controlled using the supplied remote control.

There are 16 preset colour options, allowing the appearance of the aquarium to be changed from bright natural illumination to more atmospheric colours.

Brightness can also be adjusted, while selectable automatic lighting cycles simulate the transition through sunrise, daylight, sunset and moonlight. This allows the aquarium’s appearance to change throughout the day without relying on a simple on/off lighting schedule.

biOrb 5-Stage Filtration

The LOOP uses biOrb’s distinctive filtration system, combining biological, mechanical and chemical filtration.

Water is drawn through the ceramic media at the base of the aquarium, which provides a large surface area for beneficial bacteria. Waste is then carried towards the replaceable filter cartridge located at the bottom of the aquarium.

The cartridge traps physical debris while additional filter media helps remove dissolved waste from the water.

The system also provides continuous aeration, with bubbles rising through the central bubble tube before returning oxygenated water to the aquarium.

Lightweight Acrylic Construction

Rather than conventional glass, the LOOP 15 is manufactured from clear acrylic.

Acrylic allows biOrb to create the aquarium’s distinctive curved shape while keeping the unit relatively lightweight. The completed aquarium weighs approximately 4.4kg before water, substrate and decoration are added.

As acrylic is softer than glass, care should be taken when cleaning the aquarium and only suitable acrylic-safe cleaning tools should be used.

Easy to Set Up

The LOOP 15 is supplied as a complete aquarium system, so there’s no need to purchase a separate filter, air pump or light.

Simply position the aquarium on a strong, level surface, install the filtration components and ceramic media, add your chosen decoration and prepare the aquarium water before beginning the normal aquarium cycling process.

A wide range of biOrb ornaments, plants and accessories is available separately, making it easy to personalise the aquarium.
