When Should I Feed Hikari Gold Koi Food?

Hikari UK recommends Hikari Gold for use when pond water is 15°C or above. Feed only as much as your fish will comfortably consume within a few minutes, adjusting the quantity according to water temperature, fish activity and stocking levels. Avoid overfeeding and remove uneaten food where necessary.

For colder conditions, an easily digested seasonal food such as Hikari Wheat-Germ is a more appropriate choice.

Which Pellet Size Should I Choose?

Hikari Gold is available in Mini, Medium and Large pellets, allowing you to select an appropriate size for the fish in your pond. Mini pellets are particularly useful for smaller fish, while Medium and Large pellets suit progressively larger koi and goldfish.
