A fish with sublime colours, a mixture between violet, yellow and orange! The Gramma-Royal, Gramma loreto is a fish suitable for beginners, relatively calm and Reef Safe. In an aquarium, he likes to hide in the rocks and should be fed with frozen food, such as mysis and brineshrimp.
The Royal Gramma, also known as the Fairy Basslet is a fairly peaceful species and can be kept with most other community fish of a similar size. Other Grammas and Dottybacks should be avoided though as these fish can get very territorial over their spot in the reef. The aquarium should have plenty of rockwork with caves and other nooks and crannies to explore and utilise.
