A fish with sublime colours, a mixture between violet, yellow and orange! The Gramma-Royal, Gramma loreto is a fish suitable for beginners, relatively calm and Reef Safe. In an aquarium, he likes to hang out in the rocks, but will often come out to explore, especially when there is food available

The Royal Gramma, also known as the Fairy Basslet is a fairly peaceful species and can be kept with most other marine community fish of a similar size and temperament. Other Grammas and Dottybacks should be avoided though as these fish can get very territorial over their spot in the reef. The aquarium should have plenty of rockwork with caves and other nooks and crannies to explore and utilise.

This is a carnivorous species and will thrive on a varied diet of brine shrimp, mysis and chopped krill.
