Algae are seen as a real nuisance by many aquarists, but they are naturally present in freshwater aquariums as in all natural aquatic environments.
Algae appreciate imbalances, too much or not enough light, increasing tank temperature, adding new fish or plants, cleaning the filtration, etc. There are multiple opportunities for development.
Wanting to eradicate them with a lot of chemical treatments such as herbicides or pesticides (Monolinuron for example) or worse by using antibiotics (against cyanobacteria). This also kills all the useful micro-organisms present in your aquarium. And strongly unbalance your tank in the long term. And therefore ultimately encourage the return of algae.
Rather than wanting to destroy them, an endless act... It is better to try to tame them and limit their presence.
Prevention is better than cure !
Curative treatment must remain the ultimate solution!
ALG'OUT participates in this mission by trapping phosphates present in the water and making them unavailable to algae.
Its action is long term, it is about prevention!
Combine it with a well-planted tank, with suitable soil, efficient filtration rich in useful bacterial strains, quality lighting, and you will see that the enemy (algae) will be very discreet.
Pour Alg’Out at the end of your filtration. Make a regular water change every 2 to 3 weeks (20 to 30% of the volume of the aquarium).
