The Oase BioMaster 350 External Aquarium Filter combines powerful filtration with one of the easiest maintenance systems available on an external aquarium filter. Designed for aquariums up to 350 litres, it provides a maximum flow rate of 1100 litres per hour with a generous combination of mechanical and biological filter media.

Its standout feature is Oase’s EasyClean pre-filter. Instead of dismantling the complete canister every time the mechanical media needs cleaning, the pre-filter module can simply be removed from the top, rinsed and replaced.

With quiet operation, integrated priming, excellent media capacity and the option to retrofit an Oase HeatUp heater, the BioMaster 350 is an excellent choice for larger freshwater and marine aquariums.

Oase BioMaster 350 with EasyClean Pre-Filter

The Oase BioMaster 350 External Aquarium Filter has been designed to make routine filter maintenance considerably easier.

Aquarium water passes through the EasyClean pre-filter before reaching the main biological filtration chamber. This captures much of the larger debris before it can clog the main filter media.

When the pre-filter needs attention, it can be removed separately from the top of the filter, cleaned and returned without opening the complete canister.

This means the main biological media can be left relatively undisturbed for longer.

Powerful 1100 LPH Filtration

The BioMaster 350 provides a maximum flow rate of 1100 LPH and is designed for aquariums up to 350 litres.

Improved internal water routing provides increased flow compared with the previous-generation BioMaster, while maintaining the efficient and quiet operation for which the range is known.

As with any external filter, actual flow within an aquarium will vary depending on hose length, installation height, filter media condition and the amount of resistance within the system.

Oase BioMaster 350 with Hel-X Biomedia

Effective aquarium filtration requires more than simply moving water.

The BioMaster combines mechanical filtration using filter sponges with Oase Hel-X biological filter media. Hel-X provides a large surface area for the beneficial bacteria responsible for processing fish waste within a mature aquarium.

By removing larger debris in the pre-filter first, the main biological media remains cleaner for longer and can concentrate on biological filtration rather than becoming clogged with solid waste.

Large Filter Capacity

The Oase BioMaster 350 has a total filter volume of 5.6 litres, including a 0.5 litre pre-filter.

This provides plenty of room for both mechanical and biological filtration while keeping the complete unit compact enough to fit inside many aquarium cabinets.

The filter media can also be adapted to suit your aquarium if specialist chemical or additional biological media is required.

Easy Priming and Safe Maintenance

A built-in priming button helps draw water into the filter during initial installation and following maintenance.

The BioMaster also incorporates an automatic shut-off mechanism and safety system, allowing the hose adapter and pre-filter to be disconnected while reducing the risk of unwanted water escaping.

These small practical touches make a considerable difference when maintaining an external filter underneath an aquarium.

Optional Integrated Oase Heater

One particularly clever feature of the Oase BioMaster 350 External Aquarium Filter is the ability to retrofit a compatible Oase HeatUp adjustable heater directly into the filter.

The heater is not included with this standard BioMaster 350, but adding one allows aquarium water to be heated as it passes through the filtration system.

This removes the need for a conventional heater inside the aquarium and helps create a cleaner display with less visible equipment.

If you want the heater supplied as standard, choose the equivalent BioMaster Thermo 350 instead.

Suitable for Freshwater and Marine Aquariums

The BioMaster 350 is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

Its generous biological capacity makes it an excellent option for tropical community aquariums and planted displays, while its external design keeps bulky filtration equipment outside the aquarium.

When choosing a filter, remember that aquarium volume is only part of the equation. Heavily stocked aquariums or particularly messy fish may benefit from choosing a larger filter than the nominal aquarium capacity suggests.

Maintaining the Oase BioMaster 350

Routine maintenance is one of the strongest reasons to choose a BioMaster.

The EasyClean pre-filter should be checked and rinsed whenever debris begins to restrict the water flow. Because much of the solid waste is captured here, the main biological chamber generally requires attention much less frequently.

Biological media should only be cleaned when necessary and should be gently rinsed using water removed from the aquarium rather than untreated tap water.

The hoses, impeller and inlet should also be inspected periodically to maintain good water flow.
