The Aquatlantis Kubus 54L Aquarium Kit is a stylish cube-shaped aquarium designed with planted displays, aquascaping and smaller freshwater communities in mind. Its generous front-to-back depth gives you plenty of room for arranging plants, wood and rock while maintaining a relatively compact footprint.
With a usable capacity of 54 litres and overall dimensions of 38.8 × 40.3 × 44.9cm, the Kubus provides considerably more aquascaping space than its compact appearance might suggest.
Supplied with Aquatlantis UNIV LED lighting, a BioFilter 300 internal filter and protective aquarium mat, it provides the main equipment needed to create an attractive freshwater setup.
Aquatlantis Kubus 54L Aquarium Kit
The near-cube proportions of the Aquatlantis Kubus 54L Aquarium Kit make it particularly versatile for aquascaping. At almost 40cm from front to back, there is plenty of depth for creating layered layouts rather than arranging everything along the rear of the aquarium.
The clean glass design keeps attention firmly on the aquascape, while the slim LED unit and compact internal filtration minimise unnecessary clutter around the tank.
Aquatlantis UNIV LED 24 Lighting
The included UNIV LED 24 is a slimline aquarium light designed to provide balanced illumination suitable for both fish and aquatic plants.
It produces approximately 960 lumens with a colour temperature of 6500K, giving the aquarium a bright, natural appearance while providing useful light for planted displays.
Despite its output, the LED consumes only approximately 8W, helping to keep electricity consumption low. The compact unit attaches neatly to the aquarium glass and includes its required power adaptor.
BioFilter 300 Internal Filter
Filtration is provided by the Aquatlantis BioFilter 300, a compact internal filtration system designed for aquariums in the 50–80 litre range.
The filter has a maximum flow rate of approximately 300 litres per hour and includes an adjustable water-flow regulator, allowing circulation to be tailored to the aquarium and its inhabitants.
At only around 4W, the BioFilter 300 also provides effective everyday filtration without excessive power consumption.
Mechanical, Biological & Chemical Filtration
Rather than relying on a single sponge, the BioFilter uses Aquatlantis’ modular B-BOX filter media system.
The supplied media includes Coarse Foam, Bact Life and Pure Water cartridges, providing different stages of filtration to help remove physical debris, support beneficial bacteria and maintain good water quality.
Because the cartridges are modular, individual media can be maintained or replaced when required rather than treating the entire filter as a single disposable unit.
More Environmentally Conscious Filter Media
Aquatlantis has designed its newer B-BOX cartridges with a biodegradable, plastic-free outer casing.
The casing can be composted after use, while materials from selected cartridges can also be repurposed as plant substrate. It’s a useful improvement over conventional disposable plastic filter cartridges and helps reduce unnecessary waste during routine aquarium maintenance.
Protective Aquarium Mat Included
The Kubus is supplied with a shock-absorbing protective mat designed specifically for the aquarium.
Positioned beneath the tank, the mat helps compensate for small surface irregularities while providing additional protection for the aquarium base.
As with any aquarium, the Kubus should still be installed on a strong, level surface capable of safely supporting its filled weight.
Removable Glass Cover
A removable glass cover is included with the aquarium, helping to reduce evaporation while maintaining the clean appearance of the Kubus.
A small opening provides convenient access for everyday feeding without needing to remove the entire cover.
Optional Matching Cabinet
A purpose-designed Kubus 54L cabinet is available separately for customers wanting a complete coordinated setup.
The cabinet measures approximately 39 × 40 × 90cm, has a maximum load capacity of 80kg and features a soft-close door system.
Please note that the cabinet is not included with the aquarium kit and must be purchased separately.
