Frozen Brineshrimp + Garlic 100g combines natural brine shrimp with added garlic to create a highly palatable frozen food for a wide variety of aquarium fish. The small size of brine shrimp makes this an excellent choice for community aquariums and species that prefer smaller frozen foods.

Suitable for tropical, coldwater and marine fish, it provides an easy way to introduce additional variety alongside staple flakes, pellets and other frozen foods. BCUK confirms this as a current 100g blister-pack product.

Frozen Brineshrimp with Garlic 100g

Brine shrimp are readily accepted by many aquarium fish and are particularly useful when you want to add a natural invertebrate food to the diet. The added garlic provides a distinctive aroma and flavour that can make the food especially appealing at feeding time.

The convenient blister pack also makes portion control straightforward, with individual portions removed as required while the rest remains frozen.

Suitable for Freshwater and Marine Fish

BCUK recommends Brine Shrimp with Garlic for tropical, coldwater and marine fish. This broad suitability makes it particularly useful for fishkeepers maintaining several different aquariums.

The relatively small size of brine shrimp suits many community species, including tetras, barbs, livebearers, dwarf cichlids and smaller marine fish.

Natural Brine Shrimp with Added Garlic

This food combines brine shrimp with garlic rather than relying on a complex mixture of different foods.

BCUK gives a typical nutritional analysis of 5% protein, 0.7% fat, 1% fibre and approximately 90% moisture.

I’ve deliberately kept the garlic claims sensible here. It can make a useful and appetising addition to the diet, but we don’t need to turn a cube of frozen brineshrimp into an underwater GP.

Gamma Irradiated

BCUK Brine Shrimp with Garlic is gamma irradiated as part of the manufacturer’s frozen-food production process. BCUK states that its aquarium foods are freshly frozen at source before gamma irradiation.

Feeding

Remove the required portion from the blister pack and allow it to thaw before feeding. Offer only as much as the fish will consume within a few minutes and remove significant uneaten food.

For a varied diet, alternate with other appropriate frozen foods such as mysis, daphnia, bloodworm or standard brine shrimp alongside a suitable staple food.
