Fluval Intake Strainer with checkball is suitable for:

This strainer is an important component for external filters as it prevents fish, as well as large chunks of debris that may clog the filter from being sucked up the hose. Damaged strainers will not preform to the same standard and may become inefficient or clogged more easily.

This is as genuine Fluval replacement part for the Fluval 3 series and 4 series external canister filters. Fluval do not recommend using cheaper off brand replacement parts as they may compromise the efficacy of the filter and void the warranty as a result.
