Cleair Sargasso 2.0 Classic 730L Aquarium, Sump and Cabinet

The Cleair Sargasso 2.0 Classic 730L Aquarium, Sump and Cabinet is a substantial 730-litre aquarium system designed for fishkeepers who want serious display space without the additional front-to-back footprint of a deeper aquarium. At 180cm wide but only 50cm deep, it creates an impressive panoramic display while remaining relatively slim against the wall.

The complete system provides approximately 730 litres of water volume, comprising a generous 600-litre display aquarium and 130-litre multi-chamber sump. High-clarity Opti-white glass, a black aquarium background and discreet right-hand corner weir provide a clean, contemporary display suitable for tropical, coldwater and marine aquariums.

A factory-built matching cabinet, sump, pipework, circulation pump, digital titanium heater, LED lighting and light timers are all included as standard.

730L Aquarium and Cabinet

At 180cm wide × 50cm deep, the 730L Aquarium and Cabinet provides considerably more horizontal swimming room than the smaller Sargasso Classic models while retaining the Classic range’s relatively shallow 50cm depth.

The aquarium itself stands 90cm high, creating a particularly impressive viewing area, while the complete aquarium and cabinet have an overall height of approximately 167.5cm.

This long, relatively slim footprint makes the Classic 730 particularly appealing where you want the presence of a large aquarium but don’t want a deep tank extending unnecessarily far into the room.

600-litre Opti-white display aquarium

The main aquarium provides approximately 600 litres of display volume and uses high-clarity Opti-white glass for excellent viewing.

A black rear background gives the aquarium a smart, neutral backdrop, helping livestock, plants and aquascaping stand out while reducing visual distractions behind the tank.

Drain and return pipework are concealed within a right-hand corner weir rather than a centrally positioned weir. This leaves the main display more open for aquascaping and helps make better use of the aquarium’s impressive 180cm length.

Classic 730 or Deep 910?

Both models share the same 180cm width and 90cm aquarium height, but their footprints create quite different aquariums.

The Classic 730 measures 180 × 50cm, providing the long display of the larger Sargasso models while keeping front-to-back depth relatively restrained.

The Deep 910 measures 180 × 60cm, adding another 10cm of front-to-back space and considerably more overall water volume. This provides additional room for substantial rockwork and deeper aquascapes, but naturally requires more floor space.

For rooms where a 180cm aquarium will fit comfortably but space in front of the aquarium is more restricted, the Classic 730 offers a particularly useful alternative.

130-litre multi-chamber sump

Filtration is provided by a generous 130-litre multi-chamber sump, neatly housed inside the cabinet.

The sump and associated pipework are supplied with the aquarium, providing ample space for filtration media and equipment without cluttering the main display.

Combined with the approximately 600-litre aquarium, this gives the complete system its 730-litre total volume.

The conveniently mounted socket extension provides a central location for connecting the aquarium equipment, helping keep plugs and cables organised within the cabinet.

The included LED lighting offers variable colour outputs and low running costs. Additional specialist lighting will be required for reef aquariums and heavily planted aquascapes.

Factory-built cabinet with no MDF

Unlike many large aquarium cabinets, the Sargasso cabinet is factory assembled rather than supplied flat packed.

There is no MDF used in its structural construction. Instead, the cabinet uses a combination of solid wood, metal and treated laminated wood, providing a strong structure designed for the demanding environment surrounding a large aquarium.

The exterior is finished to coordinate with the aquarium canopy, creating a clean furniture-style appearance.

With its large display volume, sump filtration and generous swimming length, the Classic 730 provides an extremely versatile foundation for a wide variety of larger aquarium setups.

It can be used for tropical, coldwater and marine fish, as well as planted and reef systems when paired with suitable specialist lighting and equipment.

Each Sargasso 2.0 Deep 730L Aquarium, Sump and Cabinet Set is available in black, white or red. We have a wide range of sizes available either in store or to order! As standard these tanks are available with widths ranging from 50cm to 60cm and lengths ranging from 120cm to 200cm. We also have “special” sizes available as well as custom sizes, just get in touch if you’d like to know more!

Standard pallet deliveries are dropped on the driveway by the courier. If this isn’t suitable, we do offer our own in house delivery service and even set up. Contact us to find out more!
