The Fluval Roma 125L Aquarium & Cabinet Kit is a complete tropical aquarium system combining a 125 litre glass aquarium with Bluetooth LED lighting, Fluval filtration, heating and a matching cabinet.
At 80cm wide, the Roma 125 offers a useful step up from smaller starter aquariums. There’s more swimming room for active fish, more space for planting and decoration, and enough capacity to create an attractive tropical community while still keeping the aquarium relatively compact.
Fluval Roma 125L Aquarium with Bluetooth Lighting
The Fluval Roma 125L features an integrated 16.5W Bluetooth LED lighting system, producing approximately 1300 lumens at a 7000K colour temperature.
The bright daylight spectrum helps enhance the colours of fish while providing useful illumination for straightforward aquarium plants.
Lighting is controlled through the FluvalConnect app, allowing you to adjust the aquarium lighting from a compatible smartphone or tablet and create a more natural daily lighting schedule.
There’s also space to add a second compatible Fluval LED if you want to upgrade the lighting later.
Fluval Roma 125L with U3 Internal Filter
Filtration is provided by the Fluval U3 internal filter, giving you mechanical, biological and chemical filtration in one compact unit.
With a pump output of approximately 600 litres per hour, the U3 provides plenty of circulation for the Roma 125 while remaining straightforward to access for routine maintenance.
The filter media is included, so the essential filtration system is ready to go once the aquarium has been set up and properly cycled.
Fluval Roma 125L Aquarium with Heater
A Fluval heater is supplied as standard, providing the temperature control required for a tropical freshwater aquarium.
An LCD thermometer is also included, making it easy to monitor the water temperature at a glance.
Together with the U3 filter and LED lighting, this means the main pieces of aquarium equipment have already been selected to suit the tank.
125 Litre Tropical Community Aquarium
The Fluval Roma 125L Aquarium measures 80 × 35 × 50cm, giving it a useful combination of swimming length and height without requiring an especially deep cabinet.
That 80cm length opens up considerably more stocking possibilities than a small starter aquarium and provides room for a well-planted tropical community.
It can be decorated with live plants, wood, stone and other aquarium-safe materials to create anything from a colourful community tank to a more natural planted display.
Always choose livestock according to adult size, behaviour and social requirements rather than simply aiming to fill the available space.
Fluval Roma 125L Matching Cabinet
This Shirley Aquatics package includes the matching Fluval Roma cabinet.
Measuring 80 × 35 × 71.5cm, the cabinet follows the footprint of the aquarium to create a neat, furniture-style setup with useful enclosed storage underneath.
An internal shelf provides room for food, water treatments and maintenance equipment, while rear openings make it easier to keep cables neatly out of sight.
Soft-close doors help minimise vibration when accessing the cabinet.
Fluval Roma 125L for Beginners and Experienced Fishkeepers
The Fluval Roma 125L Aquarium & Cabinet Kit makes an excellent choice for a first substantial tropical aquarium, but there’s enough space and flexibility for more experienced fishkeepers too.
At 125 litres, water conditions are generally easier to keep stable than in a very small aquarium, while the additional swimming room gives you a much broader choice of suitable livestock.
It’s also a manageable size for regular maintenance. You get the presence of a proper furniture-style aquarium without committing to one of the much larger 200–300 litre systems.

Why We Like the Fluval Roma 125L Aquarium
The Fluval Roma 125L sits in a particularly useful part of the Roma range.
The smaller Roma 90 is excellent where space is tight, but moving up to 80cm of swimming length and 125 litres gives you noticeably more freedom when choosing fish and planning the aquascape.
At the same time, it’s still only 35cm front-to-back, so it doesn’t protrude excessively into the room.
With the matching cabinet, Bluetooth lighting, U3 filter and heater already included, it’s a straightforward package for someone who wants a good-quality tropical aquarium without having to piece the entire system together separately.
The standard delivery for larger Fluval Aquariums is on a pallet, delivered by a courier and placed outside your home. We do also offer our in-house service of delivery and installation on request. Contact us to find out more!
We also offer finance options on all of our aquariums with up to 11 months interest free credit. Contact us for more information or to apply.
