A real game changer in boosting filtration!

Fish continuously create ammonia, which is released, among other times, when they take in oxygen through their gills. In a biological filter, two different species of bacteria work together to convert ammonia into nitrates nitrites and nitrites into nitrates. Those in the first group turn ammonia into nitrites, while those in the second turn nitrites into nitrates. Since oxygen is required for these two processes, it is crucial for the water in the filter to be oxygen-rich for maximum filter effectiveness. Both types of bacteria are present in very significant concentrations in Bactoplus Filter Start Gel. The products receive an addition of more than 800 million bacteria per millilitre during manufacture.

Use these items while starting the filter, following maintenance, and whenever there is a water quality issue.
The gel version can be applied directly to the filter media in this situation, which will increase the efficacy of the filter if the filter is easily accessible and the filter media can be dried.

Dosage

1000 ml of Bactoplus Filter Start Gel treats 10.000 litres of water

50 ml per 1000 litres of water are needed to start the filter or in cases of excessive ammonia or nitrite levels.

25 ml per 1000 litres of water after filter cleaning or when fresh water has been added.

Monthly maintenance dose of 25 cc per 1000 litres of water.

The stopper has a 15 ml capacity.
