Fritz Fishless Fuel NH3 Solution 59ml

Fritz Fishless Fuel NH3 Solution provides a controlled source of ammonia for fishless cycling new freshwater and marine aquariums. Instead of using fish or waiting for decomposing food to produce ammonia, Fishless Fuel lets you provide nitrifying bacteria with an immediate food source while the biological filter becomes established.

The 59ml bottle contains a concentrated liquid solution providing 40mg/ml total ammonia nitrogen (TAN) and can treat up to approximately 1,135 litres when used at the manufacturer’s standard cycling dose.

Fritz Fishless Fuel NH3 Solution

Fishless Fuel is particularly useful when used alongside a nitrifying bacteria starter such as FritzZyme or TurboStart. The ammonia provides food for the developing bacterial colony, allowing the aquarium’s biological filtration to establish without exposing fish or other livestock to ammonia and nitrite.

The liquid formula and dropper bottle also make it easier to measure than powdered ammonium chloride, particularly when cycling smaller aquariums.

Dosage

To raise the ammonia concentration to approximately 2ppm, add:

4 drops per 3.78 litres, or
5ml per 94.6 litres

Fritz recommends maintaining approximately 2–4ppm ammonia during the appropriate stage of fishless cycling.

After dosing, test ammonia and nitrite regularly. Once the biological filter can process the ammonia and both ammonia and nitrite have returned to zero, the aquarium is approaching readiness for livestock.

Avoid allowing ammonia to exceed 5ppm, as excessive ammonia concentrations can actually slow the cycling process.

Important Safety Information

Do not use Fritz Fishless Fuel in an aquarium containing fish, invertebrates or other livestock.

Never introduce livestock while measurable ammonia or nitrite remains in the aquarium.

If accidentally overdosed, partial water changes can be used to dilute the ammonia concentration. Always use a suitable ammonia test kit while cycling the aquarium and follow the instructions on the product packaging.
