Description
Exo Terra Electrolyte Supplement 120ml
Exo Terra Electrolyte Supplement is a liquid electrolyte and Vitamin D3 supplement formulated for reptiles. It provides important minerals including potassium, magnesium, sodium and calcium, helping support normal hydration and mineral balance.
Electrolytes can be particularly useful during periods when an animal’s hydration and mineral requirements may be increased, such as after transportation, egg laying or other periods of physical stress.
The formula also contains Vitamin D3, which plays an important role in calcium metabolism and the maintenance of healthy bones and muscles.
Bottle size: 120ml
Supporting Hydration & Electrolyte Balance
Electrolytes are electrically charged minerals involved in numerous normal bodily functions, including fluid balance, muscle function and nerve activity.
Reptiles can lose water and electrolytes during dehydration, so maintaining appropriate hydration is an important part of good reptile husbandry.
Exo Terra Electrolyte provides a combination of:
Potassium • Magnesium • Sodium • Calcium
The liquid formula is simply added to the animal’s drinking water according to the recommended dosage.
Exo Terra Electrolyte Supplement With Vitamin D3
Exo Terra Electrolyte also contains Vitamin D3, which helps reptiles absorb and utilise calcium effectively.
Vitamin D3 is therefore important for normal calcium metabolism and healthy skeletal development.
However, supplementation shouldn’t be considered a replacement for appropriate UVB lighting in species that require UVB exposure. Correct lighting, temperature, diet, calcium provision and supplementation all form part of maintaining healthy calcium metabolism in captive reptiles.
When Can Exo Terra Electrolyte Supplement Be Useful?
The supplement can be incorporated into an appropriate husbandry and supplementation programme to help maintain hydration and mineral balance.
It may be particularly useful during periods such as transportation, following egg laying or other situations where an animal has experienced increased physical demands.
If a reptile is persistently dehydrated, lethargic, refusing food or showing signs of illness, supplementation shouldn’t be used as a substitute for identifying the underlying cause or obtaining appropriate veterinary advice.

Exo Terra Electrolyte Supplement Frequently Asked Questions
What does Exo Terra Electrolyte do?
It provides electrolytes including potassium, magnesium, sodium and calcium to support normal hydration and mineral balance. It also contains Vitamin D3 to support calcium metabolism.
How much Exo Terra Electrolyte should I use?
Add 10 drops per 100ml of drinking water and shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
Does it contain calcium?
Yes. The formulation contains calcium alongside potassium, magnesium and sodium.
Does Exo Terra Electrolyte contain Vitamin D3?
Yes. It contains Vitamin D3, which plays an important role in calcium absorption and metabolism.
Can I use this instead of UVB lighting?
Vitamin D3 supplementation shouldn’t automatically be regarded as a substitute for appropriate UVB lighting. Species-specific UVB, heating, diet and supplementation requirements should all be considered when setting up a reptile enclosure.
Can this treat metabolic bone disease?
This product provides calcium and Vitamin D3 as part of nutritional supplementation, but suspected metabolic bone disease requires appropriate veterinary assessment and husbandry review rather than relying on a supplement alone.
