Zoo Med’s Forest Floor is a natural cypress mulch substrate. It provides your terrarium with a natural “forest floor” look while retaining moisture to provide humidity to the enclosure. The natural look of the bark enhances the aesthetics of the enclosure whilst mimicking the natural environment of your pet. This substrate holds moisture very well and helps increase humidity. Recommended terrarium substrate for many species of snakes, lizards, frogs and toads, tropical species of land turtles and tortoises, salamanders, tarantuals and other insects and invertebrates. Great for live plants and egg incubation.

If the Zoo Med Forest Floor Bedding is used for substrate for land turtles or tortoises, feeding should take place outside of the enclosure or on a separate surface to prevent the animals from accidentally ingesting any of the substrate.
