The SuperFish Quadro 40 Multi Colour Aquarium is a stylish 28-litre aquarium designed for anyone who wants a compact tank without sacrificing good filtration, strong lighting or modern looks. Its clean glass design and concealed corner filtration make it equally at home as a first tropical aquarium or a small planted display.
The Quadro 40 measures 45 × 25 × 35.7cm, giving it a useful rectangular footprint while remaining compact enough for smaller rooms and spaces. It is available in black or white.
SuperFish Quadro 40 Aquarium
Unlike many small aquarium kits, the Quadro has been designed to keep as much equipment as possible out of sight. The Corner-Flow 200 filter is integrated neatly into the aquarium and provides a dedicated space where a compatible heater can also be hidden.
The fine intake grid helps prevent small aquarium inhabitants such as shrimp from entering the filtration system, making the Quadro particularly appealing for planted aquariums and smaller community setups.
Multi Colour Ambient Lighting
What makes this version of the Quadro a little different is its multi-colour lighting around the base. There are seven colours to choose from, or you can select a rotating mode that cycles through the different colours.
This is separate from the main aquarium lighting and adds an attractive ambient glow around the tank – particularly effective in the evening.
Powerful LED Aquarium Lighting
The main aquarium light is a 12W high-power LED with a PAR rating of 223, giving the Quadro considerably more capable lighting than you might expect from a small aquarium kit.
White and blue lighting modes are available, with three levels of dimming and a sunrise function that gradually brings the lighting up rather than switching immediately to full brightness.
The hood can also be folded upwards, giving easy access when feeding fish, planting or carrying out routine aquarium maintenance.
Corner-Flow 200 Filtration
Filtration is provided by the SuperFish Corner-Flow 200, which keeps the filtration equipment neatly contained in one corner rather than placing a conventional internal filter prominently against the glass.
The filter uses replaceable media cartridges and provides both mechanical and biological filtration to help maintain clear, healthy aquarium water. The manufacturer’s current specification confirms the Corner-Flow 200 for the Quadro 40.
There’s also room within the filter compartment for a SuperFish Eco Heater 50W, allowing the heater to be kept safely out of sight. The heater is not included and needs to be purchased separately if you’re setting the aquarium up for tropical fish.
Ideal for Tropical, Shrimp or Planted Aquariums
With its strong LED lighting, clean lines and compact 28-litre capacity, the Quadro 40 lends itself particularly well to a carefully planted display.
It can also make an attractive home for shrimp or appropriately selected small fish. As with any 28-litre aquarium, stocking should be chosen with the relatively small water volume in mind rather than simply selecting smaller versions of fish normally kept in larger community aquariums.
A glass cover helps reduce evaporation and also provides extra security for livestock with a tendency to jump.
