Starburst 3 Litre Water Lily

This small lily has vivid pink petals with yellow stamens. Like most lilies, Starburst 3 Litre Water Lily flowers from June through to September. Planting depth for this lily should be 60-90cm and leaf spread should be expected to be 120 – 150cm. We would recommend this plant for large ponds as it may take over  a small pond very quickly.

Water Lily is an excellent choice of pond plant, adding a natural feel to any pond, contributing to a natural eco system and producing beautiful flowers every year. They prefer to be planted well under water and will send out leaves and flowers that will float on the surface. The leaves will offer your pond fish valuable cover and make them feel safe from predators as well as blocking light and thus reducing algae growth. The roots will absorb nutrients from the water column and will help keep your water quality under control as well as any algae growth.
