Seachem Prime is the complete and concentrated conditioner for both fresh and salt water. Prime removes chlorine, chloramine and ammonia and converts the ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that is readily removed by the tank’s bio-filter.

Prime may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. Prime detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the bio-filter to more efficiently remove them. It will also detoxify any heavy metals found in the tap water at typical concentration levels.

Prime also promotes the production and regeneration of the natural slime coat. Prime is non-acidic and will not impact pH. Prime will not over-activate skimmers. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water.

Prime can be used as part of your regular water change routine and also if there is an ammonia issue in the tank. If ammonia levels reach beyond safe, dose prime to protect the fish until the cycle catches up again. Each dose will cover the tank for up to 24 hours, buying you time to identify what the issue is and rectify it. In cases of emergency, a greater concentration can be used safely to give it extra oomph.
