Scirpus cernuus - cotton bud rush is a bright green rush with slender leaves. Like most grasses, it grows in attractive clumps, providing good habitat for wildlife and adding texture to the water margin. Submerged shoots assist with oxygenation and make excellent spawning grounds for goldfish. Ideal for small to medium sized ponds. This lovely plant creates a fiber optic effect, especially when the small white flowers appear at the long slender stems.
