Oase Filtral 1500 UVC All-in-one Pond Filter Unit
The Filtral series are compact filter units with integrated UVC technology for guaranteed clear water. They contain 4 different filter materials – 2 different filter sponges, bio-surface elements and filter pebbles that help ensure biological and mechanical cleaning for clear and healthy water. Also included is a 90 degree bend and stepped hosetail to allow you to feed a small watercourse or water feature.
The unit is fully submersible for underwater set up meaning the appearance of your pond is undisturbed by unnecessary obstructions and eyesores.
Filter Media and UVC – Two different filter sponges, as well as bio-surface elements and ceramics, ensure mechanical and biological cleaning. UVC power for clear and healthy water.
Practical Cleaning – Practical clips allow a quick opening of the housing, which allows the filter elements to be easily cleaned. It is not necessary to dismantle the nozzle fixture for cleaning.

The Oase Filtral 1500 is one of our favourite all-in-one pond filters for smaller wildlife and ornamental ponds. Unlike many compact pond filters, the pump, filtration and UVC are housed in a single unit, making installation quick and reducing visible pipework. We often recommend the Filtral range for customers who want effective filtration without needing a separate external filter system.
Is the Filtral 1500 suitable for fish ponds?
Yes, it can be used for fish ponds, but it isn’t really designed to. Small, lightly stocked ponds will be just fine, but if you’re considering koi, sturgeon, orfe or larger numbers of fish, we would recommend a much larger model.
How often should I clean my filtral?
Cleaning frequency depends entirely on stocking levels and how much debris accumulates in your pond. Most pond keepers will clean their sponges weekly during the active seasons.
Dows the Oase Filtral 1500 prevent green water?
The inbuilt UVC will help to tackle green water as the UV light destroys the cellular structure of the algae. With that said, there is a limit to how much it can do and it is not a substitute for good housekeeping.
Can I use this in my wildlife pond?
Absolutely. It is ideal for wildlife ponds that still require filtration and water movement. The external casing will help prevent wildlife from getting injured.
What size pond is the Oase Filtral 1500 suitable for?
The filtral 1500 is best suited to ponds of up to 1500L. However, if you intend to keep fish in the pond, then it would be less, depending on stocking levels.
How does the Filtral 1500 compare to traditional box filters?
The main advantage of the Filtral range is that everything is in one compact design. Traditional box filters require a separate pump and usually a separate UVC. This until will encompass all of those things in one. The only disadvantage of the Filtral is that there isn’t really an opportunity to customise your filter media according to the unique needs of your own pond.
Can the filtral be used to run a waterfall or stream?
Absolutely! This unit will run a small waterfall or stream whilst providing all the benefits of the filtration and UVC. The unit can be used with a hose instead of the fountain attachment if it’s a preformed watercourse or the water needs to be pumped from one end of the stream to another.
