Nasturtium Aquaticum 1 Litre
Nasturtium aquaticum (watercress) - This British native grows in attractive rafts of both submerged and emersed leaves providing an excellent habitat for fish and other aquatic wildlife. It is a favourite of newts looking to breed in spring and lay their eggs.
It's an excellent filtration plant as it will produce roots from several parts of the stems to suck nutrients from the water. It will help reduce algae growth and improve the pond's eco system. Watercress is quite happy in slow moving waters and can also be grown in streams, waterfalls, pond margins or in tops of filters. Fast growing, but easy to cut back if it appears to get our of control. It produces an abundance of little white flower from May to August.
This plant will go to seed during hot weather and die back, but it produces so many seeds, it will replace itself .
