Kusuri Powder Gold Blanketweed and Algae Treatment
A powder treatment that can be used at all temperatures to eradicate string algae and blanketweed. Algae can be an absolute nuisance in koi ponds and sometimes can't be avoided. An overconcentration of nutrients, such as nitrogen and phosphorous, as well as copious amounts of direct light can lead to a big algae outbreak, but fortunately it can easily be brought under control.
Fill a clean watering can with approximately 10 litres (2 gallon) of pond water. Add correct dosage. Stir well and distribute evenly over the surface of the pond. If present, switch off UV clarifier for up to seven days after treatment for maximum effect and remove any decaying blanketweed in subsequent days as the Powder Gold takes effect.
Use 50g of Powder Gold to 1,000 litres (220 gallons) of pond water. DO NOT OVERDOSE.
1 kg treats 20,000 litres (4,400 gallons) 0.75% w/w Monolinuron, 99.25% Calcium Montmorillonite Clay.
All sizes of Kusuri Powder Gold include a handy dose cup. One level dose cup holds 19.5g of Kusuri Powder Gold.
Store in original container, keep dry and out of direct sunlight. Dispose of empty foil pouch in rubbish bin, dispose of unused powder in its foil pouch at local civic amenity site.
