The Hozelock Aquaforce 15000 is a powerful solids-handling pond pump designed for supplying external filters, waterfalls and watercourses. With a maximum flow rate of 15,000 litres per hour and a maximum head of 5.7 metres, it’s the largest model in the Aquaforce range and is suited to larger ponds where strong, reliable water movement is required.
Rather than using a fine pre-filter that quickly becomes blocked, the large surrounding cage allows the Aquaforce to handle pond debris while protecting the pump itself, reducing the frequency of cleaning.
Hozelock Aquaforce 15000 for Filters and Waterfalls
The Hozelock Aquaforce 15000 can be used to pump water to an external pond filter or to provide the high flow required for larger waterfalls and watercourses.
It can handle solids between 2–10mm, making it particularly useful as a filtration pump where suspended debris needs to be transported from the pond to the filter rather than trapped around the pump.
Second Inlet for Skimmers and Satellite Filters
The Aquaforce 15000 features a second inlet and adjustable flow control.
This allows a pond skimmer or satellite filter to be connected to the pump, with the flow control used to balance how much water is drawn through the main pump cage and how much comes through the secondary inlet.
A satellite filter can also be positioned in an area of poor circulation to help draw water and debris from parts of the pond that would otherwise receive less filtration. Hozelock confirms these features on the larger Aquaforce models.
Submerged or Amphibious Installation
Unlike the smaller Aquaforce models, the 15000 supports amphibious operation, providing additional flexibility when planning larger pond filtration systems.
For conventional submerged installation, positioning the pump towards the deeper part of the pond helps promote good overall circulation and allows the solids-handling cage to work effectively.
Fish Protection System
The Aquaforce cage incorporates Hozelock’s Fish Protection System, designed to reduce the risk of small fish entering the pump.
Its large surface area also spreads the intake across a wider area, helping reduce clogging compared with a smaller intake strainer.
