The Fire Shrimp, Blood Red Shrimp or Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp is a great addition to Reef set ups as part of the clean up crew. These shrimp are a type of cleaner shrimp and will remove dead skin and parasites from fish that present themselves at the shrimp's cleaning station. They are a reef safe species that doesn't damage corals or harm other invertebrates. They prefer are best housed as a single specimen or a breeding pair as they are very territorial towards their own kind.
Like all cleaner shrimp, some bits of food will be foraged from around the tank, helping to maintain the ecology of it. They do not have any specific dietary requirements and can be fed just about anything.
