The False Leopard Wrasse, Macropharyngodon ornatus is a fish with a magnificent colouring, with an intense red in the head and fins, and a dotted pattern in the body. It is a peaceful and Reef Safe fish, and the aquarium must have a fine sand substrate to make it feel at home. It should be fed with frozen food, such as mysis, brineshrimp and dry food, such as Gamma Marine Complete Pellets.
This fish is a peaceful reef community fish and can be housed with anything, including others of its own kind. This fish is however somewhat difficult to keep and should only be attempted by experienced marine keepers.
