Description

Exo Terra Ficus Silk Plant Large

The Exo Terra Ficus Silk Plant Large is a realistic artificial terrarium plant designed to provide generous natural-looking foliage, cover and sheltered areas for reptiles and amphibians.

Its large trailing design makes it particularly useful for filling bare areas of larger terrariums, decorating backgrounds and adding foliage around branches and climbing structures. It provides the appearance and practical benefits of natural planting without requiring watering, specialist lighting or suitable growing conditions.

Exo Terra Ficus Silk Plant for Natural Terrariums

The Exo Terra Ficus Silk Plant provides an easy way to introduce plenty of greenery into a reptile or amphibian enclosure.

Its realistic silk-style leaves help soften bare backgrounds and artificial décor, particularly when combined with natural materials such as cork bark, wood and branches.

The Large size is particularly useful where you need to cover a substantial area or create a dense section of foliage.

Creates Cover and Visual Barriers

Artificial plants aren’t purely decorative.

The generous foliage helps create visual barriers and sheltered areas, allowing animals to move behind or amongst the leaves when they want additional cover.

This can be especially useful for shy species and reptiles or amphibians that naturally spend much of their time amongst vegetation.

Ideal for Arboreal Terrariums

The trailing design of the Exo Terra Ficus Silk Plant Large makes it particularly useful for arboreal and semi-arboreal enclosures.

Position it around climbing branches, vines and backgrounds to introduce foliage at different heights and make better use of the vertical space within the terrarium.

It can also help break up large open areas in taller enclosures.

Ideal Where Live Plants Struggle

Not every terrarium provides suitable conditions for natural plants.

High temperatures, dry areas, insufficient light or the activities of the enclosure inhabitants themselves can make maintaining live vegetation difficult.

The Exo Terra Ficus Silk Plant Large provides permanent foliage without requiring watering, fertiliser or specialist plant lighting.

Artificial plants can also be combined with live planting, allowing you to fill awkward areas while retaining natural plants elsewhere in the enclosure.

Easy to Clean and Maintain

Unlike live plants, artificial Ficus requires very little maintenance.

When necessary, the plant can be removed from the terrarium and gently cleaned before being returned to position.

Its silk-style leaves provide a softer, more natural appearance than many rigid plastic decorations while remaining practical for everyday terrarium use.
