Exo Terra Anthurium Bush

The Exo Terra Anthurium Bush is a realistic artificial rainforest plant designed to add greenery, cover and structure to reptile and amphibian terrariums. Modelled on a natural Anthurium, its broad leaves help create a more natural-looking environment without the care requirements of a live plant.

Artificial plants are particularly useful in areas where live plants struggle to grow, and can also be used alongside natural planting to create a fuller, more established-looking display. Exo Terra specifically recommends the Anthurium Bush for more sterile environments such as quarantine terrariums too.

Natural Cover & Hiding Places

The broad foliage provides visual barriers and additional hiding places, allowing reptiles and amphibians to move behind and amongst the leaves rather than remaining permanently exposed.

This makes artificial planting more than simply decoration – strategically positioned plants can provide useful cover and make an enclosure feel considerably less open. Exo Terra designed its Bottom Plant range with this environmental enrichment in mind.

Realistic Rainforest Appearance

Designed as a realistic replica of a living plant, the Anthurium Bush is ideal for adding vegetation to tropical and rainforest-style terrariums.

It can be combined with other artificial plants or incorporated amongst real terrarium plants to fill awkward areas and create a denser planted appearance.

Easy to Clean

Unlike live plants, there’s no need for watering, pruning or specialist lighting simply to keep the Anthurium Bush looking healthy.

When it becomes dirty, Exo Terra recommends simply rinsing the plant with water. The plant is made from a non-toxic material designed to be sturdy and easy to clean and disinfect, making it particularly practical where good enclosure hygiene is important.

Ideal for Quarantine Set-Ups

The Anthurium Bush is also a useful way to provide cover in quarantine or other easily sanitised enclosures where maintaining live plants may be impractical.

It gives the animal somewhere to retreat behind while remaining much easier to remove and clean than natural planting.
