The Coral Beauty is a dwarf angel from the Indo-Pacific region. This fish requires a mature aquarium with plenty of live rock that it can graze and hide in. It is an active species that requires quite a bit of space. Ideally only one specimen should be housed in the aquarium. If several are to be kept together, the aquarium will need to be very large and it’s best to add them as juveniles and roughly at the same time. Keep them in odd numbers to reduce aggression. Due to the Coral Beauty’s tendency to become territorial when faced with newcomers in general, it is advised to have it as the last fish joining the community. They do sometimes nip at LPS corals, feather dusters and other sessile invertebrates, but some aquarists have enjoyed success keeping them in a Reef set up.
