Clearseal Premier Vivarium 36″ × 18″ × 18″

The Clearseal Premier Vivarium 36″ × 18″ × 18″ is a strong, practical wooden enclosure designed to provide a secure and easily managed environment for a wide range of appropriately sized reptiles.

Made from substantial 18mm board with durable ABS edging, the Premier range has a smart furniture-style appearance while incorporating the features needed for a properly equipped reptile enclosure, including rear ventilation, cable access and sliding glass doors.

Best of all, the vivarium is supplied ready built, saving you the job of assembling a large flat-pack enclosure before you can even begin setting it up.

Available in a choice of Kendal Oak or Grey Bardolino finishes.

Strong 18mm Construction

The Premier Vivarium is constructed from 18mm board, giving the enclosure a solid and substantial feel.

The exposed edges are finished with durable ABS edging, providing a neat finish while helping to protect the board edges from the knocks and wear that inevitably come with everyday use.

Internal board joints are also sealed with clear silicone, helping to protect the joints against moisture ingress during normal use.

As with any wooden vivarium, however, it shouldn’t be treated as a waterproof enclosure or used for setups requiring permanently saturated conditions.

Supplied Ready Built

Nobody buys a reptile because they secretly wanted an evening of assembling furniture.

The Clearseal Premier Vivarium is supplied fully assembled, allowing you to concentrate on creating the enclosure rather than building it first.

Once in position, you can begin installing the appropriate heating, thermostat, lighting, substrate, hides and furnishings required by the animal you’re keeping.

Upper & Lower Rear Ventilation

Good ventilation is an important part of maintaining a suitable vivarium environment.

The Premier range incorporates upper and lower ventilation at the rear, encouraging air movement through the enclosure while retaining the enclosed design of a traditional wooden vivarium.

Temperature and humidity should still be monitored and adjusted according to the requirements of the individual species.

Cable Access for Heating & Lighting

Dedicated cable access ports make it easier to install the electrical equipment required inside the vivarium without having to improvise routes for cables.

Depending on the species being kept, this may include heating, thermostatic control, UVB lighting and other environmental equipment.

Any heating equipment should always be appropriately controlled and installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

4mm Sliding Glass Doors

The front of the vivarium features 4mm float-glass sliding doors, providing excellent visibility into the enclosure while allowing straightforward access for feeding, cleaning and routine maintenance.

Non-slip handles make the doors easier to operate, and the sliding arrangement can be used with a compatible vivarium lock where additional security is required.

That’s particularly worth considering for species that are remarkably talented at discovering that the person who designed their enclosure underestimated them.

The combination of a three-foot length with an 18-inch depth and height makes this a useful enclosure size for a variety of reptiles, depending on their individual requirements.

We wouldn’t give this vivarium a blanket list of species and suggest that anything on it will automatically be suitable. An enclosure should be selected according to the animal’s adult size, activity level, behaviour and environmental requirements, as well as current husbandry guidance.

Kendal Oak or Grey Bardolino

The Premier Vivarium is available in two attractive furniture-style finishes.

Kendal Oak offers a warmer natural wood appearance, while Grey Bardolino provides a more contemporary grey wood-effect finish.

Both allow the enclosure to sit rather more comfortably alongside normal household furniture than some of the more utilitarian reptile enclosures.

Stackable Design

Clearseal Premier Vivariums are designed so that compatible enclosures can be stacked, which can be particularly useful when keeping several reptiles while making efficient use of available floor space.

Matching cabinets are also available within the range for customers wanting to raise the vivarium from floor level and create a more complete furniture-style installation.

When stacking or positioning vivariums, always ensure the finished installation is stable and that ventilation openings remain unobstructed.

Creating the Right Environment

The vivarium itself is only the starting point of a successful reptile setup.

Heating, lighting, UVB provision, substrate, hides, humidity and furnishings should all be selected according to the needs of the particular species being housed.

A suitable thermostat should be used with thermostatically controlled heating equipment, and temperatures should be checked with reliable monitoring equipment rather than relying solely on heater settings.

This also makes the Premier Vivarium a useful foundation for creating anything from a relatively dry terrestrial enclosure to a more heavily furnished woodland-style setup, provided the environmental requirements are appropriate for a wooden vivarium.
