Description

Ciano 15 Litre Cube Aquarium Black

The Ciano 15 Litre Cube Aquarium Black is a compact nano aquarium designed for anyone wanting to create an attractive planted display without needing a large amount of space. Its neat cube shape gives you plenty of scope for aquascaping while maintaining a small footprint, making it particularly well suited to desktops, kitchen worktops and other smaller spaces around the home.

With its simple black finish and clean glass design, the aquarium has a modern appearance that allows the aquascape itself to take centre stage. Add rocks, wood and carefully chosen aquarium plants and the Ciano Cube 15 can be transformed into an impressive miniature underwater landscape.

Despite its compact dimensions, the cube format provides useful height and depth for creating a layered aquascape rather than simply arranging everything across a narrow front-to-back area.

Ciano 15 Litre Cube Aquarium with LED Lighting

The Ciano 15 Litre Cube Aquarium comes supplied with LED lighting, providing efficient illumination for viewing the aquarium and creating an attractive display.

LED lighting is particularly useful in a small aquarium where bulky traditional lighting can overwhelm the proportions of the tank. The slim lighting arrangement helps retain the clean, contemporary appearance of the Ciano Cube while leaving plenty of visual space above the aquarium.

The aquarium also includes internal filtration to help circulate the water and remove suspended waste. As with any aquarium, the filter should be allowed to establish properly before livestock is introduced.

Aquarium Made for Nano Aquascaping

Small aquariums can produce some surprisingly impressive aquascapes, and the Cube 15 is an excellent format for experimenting with different layouts.

A combination of fine substrate, small pieces of aquarium wood, carefully positioned stone and compact aquatic plants can create a convincing landscape on a miniature scale. Mosses, carpeting plants and smaller varieties of fern or Anubias are particularly useful where you want to maintain a sense of proportion.

The cube shape also allows taller plants to be positioned towards the rear of the aquarium, providing contrast against lower foreground planting.

Once established, a planted Cube 15 can make an attractive display even before livestock is added.

Ideal for Freshwater Shrimp

The modest capacity of this aquarium means livestock needs to be selected carefully. Rather than treating it as a conventional community aquarium, we think the Ciano Cube 15 is at its best when used as a planted nano aquarium or freshwater shrimp setup.

Cherry shrimp and other suitable dwarf freshwater shrimp can look fantastic against lush green planting, while their relatively low bioload makes them far more appropriate for a carefully maintained nano aquarium than most fish.

Shrimp also spend much of their time grazing across plants, rocks, wood and other surfaces, making an established aquascape particularly suitable for them.

Compact Size, Complete Display

The aquarium has an approximate capacity of 15 litres and measures around 25 × 25 × 30.6 cm including the light, allowing it to fit into spaces where a conventional aquarium would simply be too large.

A protective cover is included to help reduce evaporation and provide additional security for the aquarium’s inhabitants. A foam base mat is also supplied, helping to support the aquarium and protect both the glass base and the surface underneath it.

For tropical setups requiring temperatures above normal room temperature, an appropriately sized aquarium heater will need to be purchased separately.

What’s Included?

The Ciano Cube 15 is a smart choice if you want a small aquarium that can still become a genuine feature. Keep the stocking sensible, concentrate on the aquascape and it can produce an impressive display from a footprint of just 25 × 25 cm.

For tropical livestock, additional equipment such as a suitable aquarium heater may be required.
