Cabomba Aquatica Bunch Aquarium Plant
Cabomba Aquatica is a very popular aquarium plant from South America, owing to its beautiful foliage. It is a great mid-background plant, producing a lush, delicate backdrop to smaller plants.
It is moderately easy to keep as it is the least demanding of the Cabomba species, however it still needs medium-strong light to thrive.

Plant Arrangement: Mid-Background Bunched with a lead weight on the bottom to allow the plant to sit at the base of your aquarium.
Cabomba Aquatica is a lovely mid to background plant that grows quite tall. It is an excellent plant for disguising filters, heaters and other unsightly aquarium equipment. It can be a demanding plant to grow in low tech set ups as it requires good quality lighting and nutrients, but Co2 is not necessary. The soft delicate feathering can really compliment the scape when coupled with lower level more robust plants like Cryptocoryne. This aquarium plant is not a good choice for fish that like to nip at plants.
For proper planting, remove lead weight and the sponge from your new aquarium plant and plant in proper planting substrate. a small stone or ornament can be placed lightly at the base of the stem to help keep it from floating. Once established, feed with root tabs. If the plant reaches the surface, it can be pruned using a pair of scissors. Stems should be cut halfway down. The plant will then produce a pair of side shoots, giving it a more bushy appearance. Cuttings can also be planted in the same way as the original plant.
