Blagdon Barley Straw Pond Bale
Barley Straw is the traditional and natural treatment for all kinds of algae in ponds. This treatment will take 2-6 weeks to complete as it relies on the natural bacterial breakdown of the Barley straw to generate peroxide which in turn kills the algae. This is dependent on water temperatures and specific pond conditions. It works best during the summer months.
