Small juveniles have a black peduncular bar. Length to 20cm.
Stripeys are a relatively rare fish in the hobby, but an absolute gem! They are often confused with butterflies, but are actually a type of sea chub. They are of a peaceful temperament, but not shy and can be very entertaining to watch. Ideally they should be kept in groups in larger aquariums. Perhaps the best known feature of these fish is that they are known to eat Aiptasia whilst being reef compatible at the same time. The Australians have been using them for this purpose for many years. Of course, if the fish is under fed, there is a chance that it will turn to Zoas as a food source.
