Description

Sera Vipan Flakes XL – Large Tropical Fish Flakes

Sera Vipan Flakes XL is a complete daily flake food specially designed for larger freshwater ornamental fish that feed at or near the water’s surface. Featuring generously sized floating flakes, this nutritious formula makes feeding larger tropical fish easier while providing the essential nutrients needed for healthy growth and development.

Made with a carefully balanced combination of animal and plant ingredients, including fish meal, insect protein, spirulina and natural vegetable extracts, Vipan XL provides a varied diet in a convenient everyday food.

Unlike smaller flake foods, which can be difficult for larger fish to consume efficiently, the XL flakes offer a more substantial mouthful, making them particularly useful in aquariums containing medium to large tropical species.

Sera Vipan Flakes XL for Larger Tropical Fish

Larger aquarium fish often benefit from foods that match their size and natural feeding behaviour.

The oversized flakes are designed to float at the water’s surface, allowing fish to feed comfortably without chasing numerous tiny particles around the aquarium.

Their firm, water-stable consistency helps prevent them from breaking apart too quickly, reducing the amount of fine food debris released into the water.

This makes Sera Vipan Flakes XL particularly convenient for feeding larger community fish, where standard-sized flakes may be consumed too quickly or create unnecessary mess.

Natural Ingredients and High-Quality Protein

Good nutrition is essential for maintaining healthy, active aquarium fish, particularly as they grow.

Sera Vipan XL contains 49% crude protein, providing important building blocks for growth, muscle maintenance and everyday activity.

The recipe includes 4% insect meal from black soldier fly larvae, offering a high-quality alternative protein source that is also more resource-efficient to produce.

Other ingredients include spirulina, sea algae, gammarus, vegetables and herbs, providing a broad nutritional profile that supports the general condition of freshwater ornamental fish.

The food contains no added artificial dyes or preservatives.

Sera Vipan Flakes XL with Prebiotics

The formula includes 0.4% mannan oligosaccharides (MOS), a prebiotic ingredient that helps support healthy intestinal function.

Prebiotics encourage a balanced digestive environment, helping fish make effective use of the nutrients in their food.

Combined with the varied protein sources, vitamins and natural plant ingredients, this makes Vipan XL a dependable choice for everyday feeding.

Which Fish Are Sera Vipan Flakes XL Suitable For?

The larger flakes are particularly useful for medium to large freshwater fish that readily accept floating foods, including:

• Larger Gouramis – suitable for species that regularly feed in the upper water levels.
• Angelfish – readily accept flakes as part of a varied diet.
• Rainbowfish – active feeders that benefit from nutritious everyday foods.
• Larger Barbs – suitable for species that enthusiastically take food from the surface.
• Larger Livebearers – including adult Sailfin Mollies and Swordtails.
• Peaceful Community Cichlids – suitable for species that accept floating flake foods.

For fish with specialist dietary requirements, additional foods should be offered as appropriate. Bottom-feeding species will generally benefit from sinking pellets, wafers or other foods designed for their feeding habits.

Sera Vipan Flakes XL for Cleaner Feeding

The flakes are designed to maintain their shape in water rather than immediately dissolving into fine particles.

This gives larger fish more time to consume their food and helps limit unnecessary cloudiness during feeding.

However, even high-quality food can affect water quality if too much is offered. Feeding sensible portions remains important for maintaining a healthy aquarium.

Feeding Instructions

Feed once or twice daily, offering only as much as your fish can consume within a short period.

Scatter the flakes across the surface to give several fish the opportunity to feed without excessive competition.

For smaller fish sharing the aquarium, individual flakes can be broken into more manageable pieces.

A varied diet can also include suitable frozen or live foods, depending on the nutritional requirements of the fish being kept.

With its larger floating flakes, balanced nutritional profile and quality natural ingredients, Sera Vipan Flakes XL provides a practical everyday feeding solution for larger tropical freshwater fish.
