Measuring 120cm wide but only 40cm front-to-back, the Caspian 390 combines a generous four-foot frontage with the distinctive slimline proportions of the Caspian range. Its impressive 90cm aquarium height creates a dramatic display while the shallow 40cm depth makes it particularly useful where space extending into the room is limited.
The complete system provides approximately 390 litres of water volume, comprising a 325-litre display aquarium and 60-litre sump. A controllable circulation pump, digitally controlled titanium heater and variable-colour LED lighting are included alongside the matching factory-built cabinet, sump and pipework.
Slimline 120 × 40cm Footprint
One of the defining features of the Caspian 390 is just how much aquarium it provides from a relatively small footprint.
At 120cm wide × 40cm deep, you get the horizontal swimming length of a substantial four-foot aquarium while the system extends only 40cm from front to back.
That makes the Caspian particularly appealing for living rooms, dining areas and other spaces where there’s plenty of available wall length but a conventional 50–60cm deep aquarium would protrude too far into the room.
The unusual 90cm aquarium height gives the Caspian its distinctive appearance and provides excellent scope for taller pieces of wood, rock formations and vertically structured displays.
Integrated 60 Litre Sump
The Caspian 390 incorporates a generous 60-litre sump within the cabinet, providing a dedicated area for filtration media and equipment away from the main display.
Water continuously circulates between the 325-litre aquarium and the sump, allowing mechanical and biological filtration to be arranged according to the requirements of your particular setup.
For marine systems, the sump also provides useful space for additional equipment while helping keep the main aquarium visually uncluttered.
The sump and necessary pipework are included as standard, together with a drip tray and filter floss. Additional filtration media can then be selected to suit the aquarium you intend to create.
Controllable Circulation Pump Included
A controllable circulation pump is supplied with the Caspian 390, providing the return flow between the sump and main aquarium.
Being able to adjust the circulation gives you greater control over water movement and allows the system to be tailored to different aquarium setups and livestock.
With the aquarium, sump, pipework and circulation pump supplied together, much of the fundamental equipment required to get the system running is already taken care of.
Digitally Controlled Titanium Heater
The Caspian 390 includes a digitally controlled titanium heater, providing convenient and precise temperature control.
Positioning the heater within the filtration system keeps it away from the main display, helping maintain the clean, uncluttered appearance of the aquarium.
Titanium is also highly resistant to corrosion, making it well suited to both freshwater and marine aquarium systems.
Variable-Colour LED Lighting
Integrated LED aquarium lighting is included as standard, with variable colour outputs allowing you to alter the appearance of the display.

Factory-Built Matching Cabinet
The Caspian 390 is supplied with a substantial factory-built matching cabinet, so there’s no flat-pack cabinet to assemble before installation.
MDF isn’t used in the structural construction of the cabinet. Instead, the frame uses a combination of solid wood, metal and treated laminated wood, providing a strong foundation designed for the demanding environment around a large aquarium.
The cabinet houses the sump and associated equipment while maintaining the Caspian’s distinctive furniture-style appearance.
Adjustable feet allow the aquarium to be correctly levelled during installation.

Its 120cm swimming length opens up considerably more livestock options than the smaller Caspian models, while the tall display creates plenty of scope for vertically structured aquascapes.

How does the Cleair Caspian 390 compare with the Caspian 325?
Both aquariums retain the same 40cm depth and 90cm aquarium height.
The Caspian 390 increases the width from 100cm to 120cm, providing more horizontal swimming and aquascaping space. Display volume increases from 275 litres to 325 litres, while the sump increases from 50 litres to 60 litres.
The result is a noticeably larger aquarium without requiring any additional front-to-back floor space.
