At 100cm wide but only 40cm front-to-back, the Caspian 325 provides more horizontal swimming space than the smaller Caspian 250 while retaining the same space-saving depth. Its impressive 90cm aquarium height creates a striking display without requiring the floor space normally associated with a 325-litre sumped aquarium.
The system consists of a 275-litre display aquarium and 50-litre sump, providing 325 litres of total system volume. A controllable circulation pump, digitally controlled titanium heater and variable-colour LED lighting are included alongside the matching factory-built cabinet, sump and pipework.
Suitable for tropical freshwater, coldwater and marine aquariums, the Caspian 325 provides a versatile platform for creating a substantial feature aquarium in spaces where a deeper conventional system may simply be impractical.
Slimline 100 × 40cm Footprint
One of the biggest attractions of the Caspian range is its unusual 40cm front-to-back depth.
The Caspian 325 increases the aquarium width to 100cm, providing a useful metre of horizontal swimming space while still projecting only 40cm into the room.
That makes it particularly interesting for hallways, dining rooms, living spaces and other locations where you have plenty of wall space but don’t necessarily want a 50–60cm deep aquarium and cabinet protruding into the room.
The 90cm aquarium height gives the Caspian its distinctive proportions and provides excellent opportunities for taller pieces of wood, vertical rock formations and larger plants.
Integrated 50 Litre Sump
Rather than relying on a conventional internal or external canister filter, the Caspian 325 incorporates a generous 50-litre sump inside the cabinet.
Water continuously circulates between the aquarium and sump, allowing much of the filtration media and equipment to be kept underneath the aquarium rather than cluttering the main display.
The additional filtration space gives you considerable flexibility when arranging mechanical and biological filtration for freshwater systems, while marine keepers can use the sump to accommodate equipment appropriate to their particular setup.
The sump is supplied with the necessary pipework and is clearly marked for the optimal water level. A drip tray and filter floss are also included, with additional filtration media available separately.
Controllable Circulation Pump Included
A controllable circulation pump is included as standard, returning filtered water from the sump to the main aquarium and maintaining continuous circulation through the system.
Because the aquarium, sump, pipework and circulation pump are supplied together, there’s no need to source a separate return pump before setting up the aquarium.
Digitally Controlled Titanium Heater
The Caspian 325 includes a digitally controlled titanium heater, providing accurate and convenient temperature control.
The heater can be positioned within the filtration system rather than inside the main aquarium, helping maintain the clean appearance of the display and eliminating the need for a conventional glass heater and associated cables inside the tank.
Titanium’s excellent corrosion resistance also makes it particularly well suited to both freshwater and marine aquarium systems.
LED Lighting Included
Variable-colour LED aquarium lighting is included as standard and controlled using the digital panel incorporated into the aquarium.
Multiple colour outputs and settings allow the appearance of the aquarium to be adjusted to complement different displays, while LED technology provides effective illumination with relatively low running costs.
Light timers are available separately.
For reef aquariums containing corals or heavily planted aquascapes with greater lighting requirements, the supplied lighting will need to be supplemented or replaced with suitable specialist aquarium lighting.
Factory-Built Matching Cabinet
The matching Caspian cabinet is supplied factory assembled rather than flat packed, providing a substantial base for the aquarium without requiring you to construct the cabinet yourself.
Unlike many conventional aquarium cabinets, MDF isn’t used in its structural construction. Instead, the frame incorporates solid wood, metal and treated laminated wood, with materials chosen to cope with the humid environment surrounding a large aquarium.
The exterior is clad to provide the distinctive premium Caspian finish, while adjustable feet allow the system to be correctly levelled.
The cabinet also provides dedicated space for the sump, filtration and associated equipment, helping maintain the clean furniture-style appearance that makes the Caspian range so distinctive.

The Caspian 325 can be configured for tropical freshwater, coldwater or marine use.
For tropical freshwater aquariums, the metre-long display provides useful swimming room while the 90cm height offers excellent scope for taller planting and vertically structured aquascapes.
Marine keepers benefit from the integrated sump, which provides useful space for filtration and additional equipment away from the main display.
The aquarium can also form the basis of a reef or more demanding planted system, although additional specialist lighting will be required where corals or plants have greater lighting requirements.
