Saki-Hikari Colour is an exceptional quality daily koi food developed for keepers who want to maximise the natural colour, lustre and overall appearance of their fish. Combining premium nutrition with powerful colour-enhancing ingredients, it is particularly well suited to high-quality koi and fish being prepared for showing.

The formula provides a carefully balanced combination of proteins, carbohydrates, amino acids and fats to support healthy development and desirable body shape, while its specialised colour-enhancing ingredients help bring out the best in naturally colourful koi.

Saki Hikari Colour for Vibrant Koi

Pure-cultured Spirulina and Zeaxanthin are included to encourage vivid development of the Hiban – the red areas of koi – without negatively affecting the clean Shiroji or white areas.

This is particularly important with varieties such as Kohaku, Sanke and Showa, where strong reds need to be maintained alongside crisp, attractive whites.

Hikari-Germ Probiotic Technology

Saki-Hikari Colour contains Hikari-Germ, Hikari’s proprietary beneficial bacteria. This probiotic forms part of the Saki-Hikari approach to digestive health and efficient nutrient utilisation.

Hikari recommends feeding Saki-Hikari continuously rather than intermittently or mixed with other foods if you want to obtain the full benefits of Hikari-Germ.

When Should I Feed Saki-Hikari Colour?

Hikari UK recommends feeding Saki-Hikari Colour at water temperatures of 15°C or above. Feed only as much as your koi will completely consume within a few minutes, adjusting the amount according to water temperature, pond conditions and fish activity.
