Aquadip Frozen Tubifex 100g provides convenient portions of frozen tubifex worms, a protein-rich natural food readily accepted by many freshwater aquarium fish.

Tubifex have been used as an aquarium fish food for generations and are particularly useful for species that naturally respond well to small worms and other aquatic invertebrates. Their soft texture and manageable size make them suitable for a broad range of tropical and coldwater fish, from community species through to cichlids and other enthusiastic feeders.

Freezing also provides a convenient alternative to keeping live tubifex. The blister pack can remain in the freezer and individual portions removed whenever required, making it easy to introduce tubifex into a varied feeding routine without needing to maintain a supply of live food.

Aquadip Frozen Tubifex

Aquadip Frozen Tubifex is a particularly useful food for fish that need a little extra conditioning or for encouraging reluctant feeders to take food.

The natural scent and texture can produce a strong feeding response, while the relatively small worms allow numerous fish within a community aquarium to feed simultaneously.

Tubifex is a rich food, however, so it is best used alongside other appropriate foods rather than as the aquarium’s sole diet.

Ideal for Tropical and Coldwater Fish

Frozen tubifex can be offered to many freshwater species including tetras, barbs, rasboras, gouramis, loaches, catfish, cichlids and suitable coldwater fish.

It can also be useful when conditioning adult fish before breeding, or simply when adding greater variety to a diet based primarily around flakes and pellets.

Alternating tubifex with foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, mysis and bloodworm introduces different textures and nutritional profiles while helping to keep feeding interesting.

Convenient 100g Blister Pack

The 100g blister pack contains 20 individually portioned cubes, allowing you to remove only the amount needed for each feed. The cubes are also scored so that smaller portions can be produced when feeding lightly stocked aquariums or smaller fish.

This makes the blister format particularly convenient for occasional frozen-food feeding, while helping the remainder of the food stay securely frozen until required.

Feeding

Remove an appropriate portion from the freezer and feed according to the size and number of fish in the aquarium.

Only offer as much as the fish will consume within a few minutes. Excess uneaten food should be removed where necessary to prevent it contributing unnecessarily to the organic waste within the aquarium.

For best results, use frozen tubifex as part of a varied diet alongside other suitable frozen and prepared aquarium foods.
