Frozen Tubifex 100g is a natural, protein-rich frozen food for freshwater aquarium fish. Tubifex worms are readily accepted by many species and provide an excellent way to add variety to the diet of tropical and coldwater fish.

Supplied in a convenient portioned blister pack, the individual frozen portions make it easy to remove only the amount required at each feeding while keeping the remainder safely frozen.

Frozen Tubifex 100g

Tubifex is particularly useful for fish that naturally feed on small worms and other aquatic invertebrates. Its soft texture and natural feeding appeal make it suitable for many community fish, bottom-feeding species and cichlids.

The BCUK Tubifex has a typical nutritional analysis of 6.2% protein, 2.6% fat, 0.6% fibre and approximately 91% moisture.

Suitable for Freshwater Fish

Frozen Tubifex can be offered to a wide variety of tropical and coldwater freshwater species. It is particularly useful for fish that enthusiastically accept meaty foods and can also help provide additional dietary variety for fish that are reluctant to take dried foods.

Its manageable portion size makes it suitable for both community aquariums and tanks containing larger fish, with portions easily adjusted according to the number and size of fish being fed.

Gamma Irradiated

BCUK Frozen Tubifex is gamma irradiated as part of the production process. This provides fishkeepers with the convenience and feeding response associated with natural Tubifex without the storage and handling requirements of live worms.

A Useful Addition to a Varied Diet

Frozen foods are most useful when incorporated into a varied feeding programme. Frozen Tubifex Fish Food can be alternated with foods such as brine shrimp, mysis, daphnia and bloodworm alongside an appropriate quality staple food.

Rotating different foods provides a broader range of textures and nutrients while also keeping feeding interesting for the fish.

Feeding

Remove the required portion from the blister and allow it to thaw before feeding. Feed only as much as the fish will consume within a few minutes and remove significant uneaten food.

Keep frozen until required and do not refreeze once fully defrosted.
