It’s said that you can’t beat a bottom drain system. It is still one of the most commonly used forms of filtration for ponds because ponds tend to have a lot more debris collect in the bottom than any other ornamental fish housing.  If you have a pond that doesn’t have a bottom drain but wish you had installed one, or do you have a bottom drain and want to install another here is the answer. A bottom dome that sits on the floor of your pond which requires no digging or intensive labour. Just simply place the self -weighted bottom dome in your pond and attach a pipe from either an internal pump such as an oase aquamax or promax (these pumps have two inlets) or an external pond pump,and enjoy all the benefits of a bottom drain with minimal expense. This aerated bottom drain dome improves water circulation and helps remove suspended particles and debris for up to 30% more efficient in pulling the solid waste into the drain compared with the non aerated version. This item comes complete with a 90 degree bend and a stepped hose tail and 5 metres of air line to fit into a 4mm or 8 mm connector. This unit will take 2″ pipe work direct to the 90 degree bend. Dimensions: Length 380mm (15″) Height 130mm (5 1/4″)om the bottom of your pond reducing maintenance.
