Description

Exo Terra Ruscus Silk Plant Small

The Exo Terra Ruscus Silk Plant Small is a realistic artificial hanging plant designed to add natural-looking foliage, cover and enrichment to reptile and amphibian terrariums.

Its leafy trailing design is ideal for decorating terrarium backgrounds, branches and other enclosure furniture, helping create sheltered areas and visual barriers without the maintenance requirements of a live plant.

Exo Terra Ruscus Silk Plant for Natural Terrariums

The Exo Terra Ruscus Silk Plant provides an easy way to introduce additional greenery into a reptile or amphibian enclosure.

Its realistic silk-style foliage can be combined with branches, cork bark and other terrarium décor to create a more natural-looking environment.

It can be used on its own or alongside live planting to add foliage in areas where natural plants may struggle to grow.

Creates Natural Cover and Hiding Areas

Plants aren’t purely decorative within a terrarium.

Foliage helps break up open spaces and creates visual barriers and sheltered areas where reptiles and amphibians can retreat from view.

This can be particularly valuable for shy species or animals that naturally spend much of their time amongst dense vegetation.

Ideal for Arboreal Terrariums

As a hanging plant, the Exo Terra Ruscus Silk Plant Small can help make better use of the vertical space within a terrarium.

Position it around climbing branches, backgrounds and other décor to create additional foliage at different heights throughout the enclosure.

This makes it particularly useful for arboreal and semi-arboreal reptiles and amphibians that naturally spend much of their time above ground level.

Useful Where Live Plants Struggle

Live plants aren’t suitable for every part of a terrarium.

Low light levels, high temperatures, dry areas or the activities of the enclosure inhabitants themselves can make natural planting difficult.

The Exo Terra Ruscus Silk Plant provides permanent foliage without requiring watering, plant lighting, fertiliser or suitable growing conditions.

It’s also useful for quarantine and other more sterile setups where live planting may not be practical.

Easy to Clean and Maintain

Artificial terrarium plants are extremely straightforward to maintain.

If the Ruscus becomes dirty, it can be removed from the enclosure and rinsed with water before being returned to position.

The sturdy, non-toxic artificial material is designed to be hygienic and easy to clean, giving you the appearance and cover of natural foliage without ongoing plant maintenance.
