Description

Vetark Critical Care Formula CCF 150g

Vetark Critical Care Formula (CCF) is a high-energy, high-protein complementary feed developed to provide nutritional support for reptiles, birds and mammals during periods when normal food intake may be reduced.

Combining readily available carbohydrates with concentrated protein and amino acids, CCF is particularly useful for animals experiencing loss of appetite, poor condition, recovery from illness or surgery, or other periods of increased nutritional demand.

Supplied as a dry powder, only the amount required needs to be prepared at each feeding.

Energy & Protein Support

Animals that are unwell, recovering or eating poorly can have increased nutritional demands while simultaneously consuming less of their normal diet.

Vetark CCF combines two principal nutritional components:

Glucose syrup solids provide a readily available source of energy, while whey protein concentrate provides protein and amino acids to support the animal during recovery.

This makes CCF more nutritionally substantial than products designed primarily to provide hydration or electrolytes.

Designed for Critical Care & Recovery

CCF has been developed for nutritional support during periods such as:

  • Reduced appetite
  • Poor nutritional intake
  • Recovery following illness
  • Recovery following surgery
  • Periods of increased nutritional demand
  • Animals requiring additional energy and protein

It can be used with reptiles, birds and mammals where this type of supplementary nutritional support is appropriate.

CCF is a complementary feed and isn’t intended to diagnose or treat the underlying cause of illness or appetite loss. An animal that stops eating, loses weight or shows other signs of illness should receive appropriate veterinary attention.

Convenient Powdered Formula

One advantage of CCF is its dry powdered formulation.

Rather than opening a liquid product that then has a limited useful life, the powder allows a small quantity to be prepared when required while the remainder stays dry in the sealed container.

Once mixed, CCF should be prepared fresh for each use rather than storing made-up solution for later feeding.

Adding CCF to Drinking Water

For animals requiring additional energy, Vetark states that CCF can be added to drinking water at a rate of:

1 scoop per 200ml of water

Prepare the solution fresh each time and follow the complete manufacturer’s feeding instructions supplied with the product.

Composition

Glucose Syrup: 49.3%
Whey Protein Powder (Concentrate): 50%

The formulation also provides amino acids as part of its nutritional support.

Vetark Critical Care Formula Frequently Asked Questions

What is Vetark CCF used for?
CCF provides concentrated energy and protein for reptiles, birds and mammals requiring additional nutritional support, particularly during periods of reduced food intake or recovery.

Is CCF the same as ReptoBoost?
No. Although both can be useful during recovery, they have different formulations. CCF primarily provides concentrated energy and protein, while ReptoBoost provides energy alongside electrolytes, vitamins and probiotics for hydration and recovery support.

Can CCF be used for reptiles?
Yes. CCF is formulated for reptiles as well as birds and mammals.

Can CCF be used after surgery?
Vetark includes recovery following surgery among the situations for which CCF has been developed. Its use should form part of the animal’s appropriate veterinary and nutritional care.

How long can mixed CCF be stored?
CCF should be made up freshly each time rather than preparing and storing batches of mixed formula.

Can I add CCF to drinking water?
Yes. Vetark states that it can be added at a rate of one scoop per 200ml of drinking water when being used as an additional energy supplement.
