Yellow Spotted Rabbit Snail
The Yellow Spotted Rabbit Snail is a lovely addition to your aquarium. Capable of going down to temperatures of 18C, they are suitable for most set ups and provide a valuable clean up service. These snails will eat any uneaten fish food, general detritus and decaying plant matter, helping to keep your aquarium gravel clean. They will also consume a decent amount of algae as they go along hoovering up anything edible. Be mindful though that they are known to eat certain plants from time to time.
Whilst they are capable of breeding in freshwater, this is not nearly as prolific as pest snails and will not become a problem in most aquariums.
As these are snails and require a certain amount of calcium to continue to grow a healthy shell so it is recommended that they are kept in alkaline conditions of pH 7 or higher with a reasonably KH.
Please note that the image is for illustration purposes and the fish you will receive may not be identical. These fish are still juveniles and have yet to colour up. A healthy environment and good quality food will help bring them into full colour. If you have any questions about keeping these fish, please don't hesitate to ask a member of staff.
