Repto Gravel Scoop 27 × 10cm

The Repto Gravel Scoop is a practical terrarium cleaning tool designed to make routine spot cleaning of sand and other fine substrates quicker and easier.

Rather than removing large amounts of clean substrate along with waste, the scoop features a fine 2.5mm mesh that allows suitable finer substrate to fall back through while larger pieces of waste remain in the scoop. Repto specifically designed it for removing dirt from terrarium substrate and sieving finer sand.

Easy Terrarium Spot Cleaning

Regularly removing waste, uneaten food and other debris helps keep a terrarium looking clean without unnecessarily replacing all of the substrate.

Simply scoop the affected area and gently sift it. Suitable fine substrate can pass back through the mesh while larger waste is retained for disposal.

This makes the Repto Gravel Scoop particularly useful for sand-based terrariums, where removing waste by hand can otherwise take a surprising amount of clean sand with it.

Fine 2.5mm Mesh

The scoop uses a 2.5mm mesh, fine enough to sieve suitable terrarium sand and separate it from larger particles and debris.

Whether the scoop will work effectively with a particular substrate depends on its particle size. Very fine material will pass readily through the mesh, while larger or more fibrous substrates may not be suitable for sieving in the same way.

27cm Long Handle

At approximately 27cm long and 10cm wide, the scoop provides useful reach when cleaning inside a terrarium, helping you access the substrate without having to put your entire hand into the enclosure.

Its relatively broad scoop also makes it practical for covering larger areas of substrate while still being compact enough for everyday maintenance.

Reduce Unnecessary Substrate Waste

One of the main advantages of using a mesh scoop is that clean substrate doesn’t necessarily need to be thrown away every time you spot-clean the enclosure.

By separating suitable fine substrate from larger waste, much of the clean material can simply fall back into the terrarium.

The Gravel Scoop is intended for routine maintenance and spot cleaning rather than replacing normal substrate changes or the wider cleaning routine appropriate for the animals being kept.
