Lunula Butterflyfish or Raccoon Butterflyfish is a large, predominantly nocturnal species of Butterfly. In the home aquarium, they generally adapt to aquarium lighting and feeding schedules. They should be kept singly, but in aquariums of the largest sizes, they can be kept in shoals as long as there's plenty of hiding spots and they're all roughly the same size. Open swimming space should be available. Like all butterflies, they demand excellent water quality and areas of strong flow with well oxygenated water. This species has the ability to change its colours as a form of camouflage when it feels threatened or angry.
