Live Medium Worms Dendrobaena
Small Worms / Dendrobaena are a perfect staple for reptiles or amphibians, gut loaded for optimal nutrition. A favourite of axolotls in particular, but often used as a treat for large predatory fish like Red Tail Catfish. They are very high in protein and very nutritious. They can be kept for extended periods of time as long as the soil remains damp, but not wet.
Being light sensitive, the worms will squirm when exposed, enticing your reptile to hunt and giving them enrichment. Works great on fussy eaters. Also able to tolerate being in water for quite a while, making them a good staple for axolotls which can take some time to actually notice their food and eat it.
These worms can be kept for up to 10 days as long as they are kept cool and slightly moist conditions. Wormeries can be used for long term breeding projects.
